Today’s episode is sparked by an official post made by Tik Tok, and I quote...

“Do not post upload or share content that promotes ponzi, multi-level marketing, or pyramid schemes.”

Does that sound like a platform that’s in favor of our profession? NOPE!

Tik Tok apparently hates network marketing, and that might be true with other social media platforms.

But, we keep hearing, “TikTok is where it’s at! You HAVE to be on TikTok to grow your business!”

Hey listen – I’m not knocking TikTok.

In fact, TikTok could be a super-powerful tool to help you build an engaged following and create awareness around your products and business.

However, the mistake I want YOU to avoid is to focus too much on social media and end up neglecting the key areas that’s actually grow your business and give total freedom.

Again, social media isn’t a business. It’s a marketing tool. It’s just one piece of the puzzle.

And if you want to build a REAL BUSINESS that someday gives you financial freedom, you MUST shift your focus to the other key puzzle pieces, too.

Do you have a passion for learning and growth?  Or do you have a hunger for approval?

How you answer this question reveals exactly why you have the results that you do in your business.

Your answer determines whether you have a Fixed or a Growth Mindset, according to Carol Dwek. 

Here’s one simple difference between the two...

People having a Fixed Mindset believe their talents and abilities are essentially set in stone – ‘You either have it or you don’t.’

On the other hand, people with a Growth Mindset believe that they CAN become better – that they’re a work in progress and can become more talented, intelligent, and skilled through time and effort.

An even bigger differentiation between the two mindsets (and the major reason you’re holding yourself back!) is the way they view FAILURE.

In this episode, I’m going to explore these two different mindsets and explain why your answer could reveal the reason why you haven’t built the business that you dream of.

Hey everyone! I know everybody is so excited with all kinds of promotions this Black Friday.

But I bet a lot of you are already starting to slip into that SEFL-DOUBT and FEAR.

Well, there is only one thing that will determine whether you win or lose this weekend - It’s the STORY that you tell yourself.

It’s either you come out with the RED LIGHT STORY thinking – “It’s insensitive to sell products when everybody is affected by the pandemic.”

OR... you can choose the GREEN LIGHT STORY knowing that – “People can’t leave home so they’re going to buy and spend more money.”

Which path are you going to choose?

One of the biggest traps I see so many struggling network marketers fall into is this → 

They rely WAY too much on social media for their business.

So they’re posting constantly, focusing almost all of their time on creating content, growing their following … 

In fact, I’d bet the average “hobbyist” network marketer probably spends 75–80% of their time on social – it literally becomes a full-time job for them.

These are ones that many of you have never heard of but absolutely need in your business whether it’s for social media content, managing prospect flow, scheduling, communication etc.

#1 Trello (www.trello.com)

Trello is a project management platform. You can use it for managing and keeping track of prospects, project management, and content planning for social media.

#2 Slack (www.slack.com)

Slack is a team communication platform that allows you to set up channels for leadership groups, challenge groups, daily accountability, etc. I think of it as replacing email.

#3 Community (www.community.com)

Community is a text messaging or text marketing platform that allows you to create a very powerful, intimate, direct way of communication with customers, team members, and prospects.

#4 Bomb Bomb (www.bombbomb.com)

Bomb Bomb is a video email marketing platform which I use to record videos right on my phone and send it by TEXT or EMAIL. It’s best used for recognition for team members, customers, prospects - appreciation, etc.

#5 Voxer (www.voxer.com)

Voxer is a walkie talkie voice messaging app. I LOVE this app because I can do real time voice communication for individual coaching and support with new recruits and leaders.

We are smack dab in the middle of the craziness that is election season, and when someone shares opinions you passionately disagree with ... what will you do?

How many of you have watched SOOOO many people come and go from their network marketing business?  And like myself, have you started to wonder WHY?

Why do so many people fail in network marketing?

The answer is quite simple -- these people treat network marketing as a HOBBY.

‘The Hobbyist’ is the overwhelmed, overworked, and underpaid network marketer, trying to ‘do it all,’ but feeling totally confused, and not able to produce any real, consistent results.

The Hobbyist thinks, ‘Let me give this a try and see if it works…’

The hobbyist is not willing to COMMIT to the process of building a business and put in the necessary time and effort in the right activity during the early stages.

Here are some of the main characteristics that describe The Hobbyist:

  • Struggles with recruiting and building a team
  • Fear and overwhelm are their 2 biggest enemies
  • They possess a Sales Mindset in their business
  • Focus most of their time on social media (think it IS their business)
  • Held back by their past, no clear vision for their future
  • Constantly dealing with self-doubt and comparitis
  • Spends too much time consuming training and not enough time taking action

I bet that many of you can identify with AT LEAST 1 of these things. If so, there’s a VERY GOOD chance you’re stuck in the Hobbyist Role in your business.

How do you get out of The Hobbyist Role that’s been keeping you stuck for so long?

You need to make the shift to being a REAL BUSINES OWNER.

Do you have major issues managing your time?

You totally get that using your time efficiently and productively is necessary to grow your business, and you want to change, but, every single week, you are crash landing into Mondays.

And here’s why – you have a wrong belief about time management.

Struggling with time is NEVER a time issue. It is ALWAYS a priority issue.

Here’s the mindset shift that I want you to make when it comes to your schedule - rather than thinking of it as a time management issue, you need to begin thinking of it as a struggle with managing YOURSELF in relation to time.
