I’m curious – can you relate to this …? →

You have a great month in your business, and you’re on top of the world.

I get this question A LOT: Should I be leading with my product or business opportunity?

In order to do this, I’ll first break down two categories of people in your team.

  1. BRAND NEW person – the people on your team that are just starting out and have been in the business 30 days or less

  2. EVERYONE else - the people on your team that have been team members for MORE than 30 days

To answer the question, I want to say that you can honestly do EITHER and see success in this business.

However, it is easier for a new team member to launch their business by acquiring customers first vs team members.  This gets them a few quick successes from the very start!

As a team member grows in confidence and skill, then they can lead with the business opportunity.

Are some of your prospects ‘ghosting’ you?

You have prospects who are interested in the business, they have watched your 3rd party tools, but when you call and message them - NOTHING!

So, you follow up on Facebook.  You know they’ve seen your message.  But still - NO REPLIES.

Or even worse….you see the 3 dots, like they’re responding - and yet NOTHING!

It’s SO frustrating, right?

And what ends up happening is we then create a Red Light Story in our minds that keeps us stuck with fear.

But, this is what I need you to understand: Prospecting is like DATING.

It’s a constant balancing act between pursuing someone and not coming across as desperate. Sometimes you must be willing to just walk away.

In this Biz Tip Friday, I’m going to teach what I call the TAKEAWAY METHOD. This is the exact strategy that I implement when prospects have shown interest - but now they’re not responding to my follow-ups.

Are you an ‘under cover’ network marketer? Are you scared of what people will think of you?

Today, I have four questions from our listeners which, in summary, is about how to deal with network marketing haters.

Listen – I was once a network marketing ‘secret agent’ myself! 

I had started my network marketing business while I was working fulltime in medical sales, and I was SO scared of what my colleagues would think of me!

I honestly thought if they found out I was in network marketing that they’d lose respect for me.  So, I kept it ‘under cover’ for the longest time.

Can you relate?

Here’s the thing - If you’re holding on to negative beliefs about being a network marketer → you’re going to get negative results in your network marketing business!

So, in today’s podcast, we’re going to talk about that limiting belief and the mindset you HAVE to have to be successful in this business.

You need to ask yourself this right now: Are you teaching your team WAY too much info? Are you overtraining your team?

A common mistake that a lot of leaders make in this profession is OVERWHELMING their team with too much information and training.

“Hey! Watch this video! Listen to this podcast! Read this book! Join this team call!”

Yes, personal development is a very important part of our profession. However, too often it results in overwhelming our team, especially new people.

The more we teach and train our teams the less focus there will be on the basic actions and core principles of the business that will create the beginnings of success.

Always remember this: Personal development does not come from overtraining people. It comes from taking the information, learning from these resources, and putting them into action.

Join me in a talk with Amy Triplett, who went from feeling stuck and hitting rock bottom to adding 297 new team members in a single month!
