A common struggle of leaders, especially those with a large team, is knowing when it’s the right time to pass the baton to the emerging leaders on their team and let them run the race on their own.

This is crucial to know, because two things could happen that could impact their long term success and their businesses.

One is letting go of leaders way too early.

And as a result they struggle and get stuck in their business instead of becoming effective.

Another thing is holding people for too long.

We train, develop, and do for them for too long and we wind up actually stunting their development.
